Why does Terror (ism) strike India?

Why does Terror (ism) strike India?

Why do terror strikes (?) again and again in India? Why do Muslims (?) perpetrate the strikes in India or all over the world? These are the questions haunting me after every strike. These are the questions thrown on me by my friends after every strike. I worry that the way they are looking me, as an Indian or as a Muslim or as a (Muslim) Terrorist. I worry Why people are telling that Islamic or muslim terrorists? Why don’t they call that groups as “criminals” or simply “terrorists”?. Why don’t they understand that they are hurting whole the community if they use Muslim or Islam behind the terrorism.
Is Islam propagating terrorism? How a Muslim can become terrorists? These are the unanswered questions to me, because there is no answer for these questions. Because a Muslim is not a terrorist and his path is Islam (Path of Peace). He cannot kill or hurt innocent kids, women and men or even other living things (including plants), if he follows Quran and Prophets Words. Then why terrorists use the word Islam or why they are targeting Muslims?. If we count the number people who had been killed in the terror strikes, the largest is Muslims. Why Islamic terrorists targets Muslims itself? A deep study is needed to understand the root cause of this problem. If I find something supportive to the terrorists, you will call me a terrorist, otherwise, if I find something against the terrorists but it is opposing you or the common view, you again call me a terrorist. Are not you? Anyway, I don’t mind it, I am an Indian, a Muslim, a follower of Peace. I strongly condemn the terror strikes and I strongly oppose these activities. My personal view is that “terrorism is purely political not religious”, so we have to fight politically not by aiming on religion.

Definition:

Terrorism is the deliberate formation and utilization of fear for bringing a political change and all the terrorist acts involve violence or the threats. They attempt not only to propagate panic but also to weaken confidence in the government and political leadership of their target country.
United Kingdom’s Terrorist Act 2000 states that terrorism is “the use or threat of action . . . designed to influence the government or to intimidate the public or a section of the public . . . for the purpose of advancing a political, religious or ideological cause.”
United States federal statute defines terrorism as “violent acts or acts dangerous to human life that . . . appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by assassination or kidnapping.” United States Code, Title 18, Section 2331 (18 USC 2331).
The Israeli’s Prevention of Terrorism Ordinance No. 33, defines a terrorist organization as “a body of persons resorting in its activities to acts of violence calculated to cause death or injury to a person or to threats of such acts of violence.”

Origin

“terrorism” which was first used in France during the French Revolution (1789-1799). This word gain wider popularity when it was adopted by a group of Russian revolutionaries to describe their violent struggle against tsarist rule. Then Terrorism assumed the familiar antigovernment relations it has today, so ‘Terrorism’ is political in nature. Terrorism has occurred throughout world for a variety of reasons such as historical, cultural, political, social, psychological, economic, or religious—or any combination of these.
The causes that have compelled people to engage in terrorism are injustice borne of political oppression, cultural domination, economic exploitation, ethnic discrimination, and religious persecution. In the case of state sponsored terrorism, national governments aided terrorists to further their own foreign policy goals.
Terrorists never commit actions randomly or senselessly. They want to generate maximum publicity because media attention helps achieve the intimidation needed for terrorism’s success. So, terrorist acts are carefully planned. They are intended more to draw attention to the terrorists and their cause than to destroy property or kill and injure persons to fulfill their political reasons. Terrorism often targets innocent civilians in order to create an atmosphere of fear, intimidation, and insecurity. It can tear apart the social fabric of a country by destroying business and cultural life and the mutual trust upon which society is based. Uncertainty about where and when the next terrorist attack will occur generates a fear and people fear to visit shopping malls, attend sporting events, and fear to go to the cinema halls, or travel, either abroad or within one’s own country.
Before 1990 the Islamic terrorism was very weak and only left or communists related groups were flourished like Germany’s Baader-Meinhof Gang, Italy’s Red Brigades, and the Weather Underground in the United States, The Japanese religious cult Aum Shinrikyo, Basque separatists in Spain, Irish nationalists in Northern Ireland. But the fall of USSR gave birth to the Islamic terrorism, why? The communists terrorist groups and the fall of the great power USSR, it is the International politics of USA?or CIA? The U.S. Department of State has designated seven countries as state sponsors of terrorism: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Cuba, North Korea, and Sudan but the USA sponsored ( to resist the soviet occupation) Osama bin Laden’s Al qaida and Taliban?. Then why the USA did not know about the formation of Bin laden’s Jihad against them and Taliban?
It is very unambiguous that the terrorists groups motivated by religious views flourished after the fall of USSR or after 1990. I smell a secret agencies work behind these operations. I feel that USSR was an enemy for USA until 1990, after that I feel it is Islam? Or they want oil countries? Yes, it is with energy and money. International terrorism is not for religion but for oil and sponsored by superpower countries.
But the strikes in India? Is it related to the international politics? No, really not. It is the work of the internal agencies not the externals. Traditional terrorist groups of the 1970s and 1980s issued communiqués explaining why they perpetrated an attack but terrorists today may use violence simply as vengeance or punishment rather than as a means to achieve political change. Democratic countries like India is a fertile ground for this type of terrorism because of the open nature of their societies, where citizens have fundamental rights, civil liberties are legally protected, and government control and constant surveillance of its citizens is absent. Today the reasons behind the terror strikes are unknown but the groups are claiming that they have perpetrated such and such strikes. It is found that well educated people are behind these strikes when we crack down such groups, even though it is continuing. I remember the word of Basheer, who had been arrested in the Coimbatore bomb blast case with Al Umma leaders, “I had discussed about the blast and about the motivation behind it with all the jailed members even with the Al Umma leaders, but, they and me are still not clear about the police investigations, we did not know why we had involved in such crimes and who had motivated us, still the motivators are behind the scene” during Asianet Nammal thammil programme.
These incidents are showing that the real perpetrates and the motivators are working behind the screen and we are not ready to prosecute them. The strikes will continue until we prosecute the heads of these organizations and the motivators. Mass Medias and the politicians should give more care on the motivating words and news events of such kinds. Terrorism is a criminal activity and not religious activity.
How to solve the terrorist attacks in India?
1. Politician should be concentrated on National development programs not on any religious groups on not any vote banks.
2. Everybody should have been taught the patriotism
3. Policing should be transparent and approachable to common man.
4. Increase the confidence of the people on the governmental organizations and enquiry commission. (one of the best example of loss of confidence is the Nanavati commission and U.C. Banargee commission on Gujarat riot).
